One of the most popular (and not too difficult) is the \u003ci\u003eGavotte in D major\u003c\/i\u003e. He composed a \u003ci\u003eRequiem\u003c\/i\u003e for three cellos and orchestra, and he wrote four cello concertos. However, his most important work for cellists is a collection of studies called \u003ci\u003eHochschule des Violoncellspiels\u003c\/i\u003e (\u003ci\u003eHigh School of Cello Playing\u003c\/i\u003e).
